Founded in 2015, sustainable caterer Dinner Ladies has always been dedicated to producing impressive, vibrant and varied food with personality and fun. Co-owners Lily Cai and Emily Plunket met at university and spent time living together in China where they shared a passion for food and the culture’s commitment to it.
Savouring tastes from a host of different regions and countries their goal is to pack British ingredients with contemporary flavours and spices inspired by their travels.
As sustainable caterers, we are committed to promoting sustainability and championing the war on waste within the food industry. Whilst supporting a number of charitable projects, such as the Battersea Canteen, UNICEF, Nextgen, Menus Making Change & Syrian supper club we are dedicated to our own project THE WASTED SUPPER, a sustainable evening celebrating food, fashion & music. Using our creativity we breathe life into unwanted ingredients brought by our guests. As well as holding regular supper clubs that focus solely on surplus ingredients we have introduced the ‘Scraps Canapé’ to our menus creatively using surplus from event menus. We also use up any kitchen waste by cooking a weekly meal for the Streets Kitchen.
