We’re such a huge fan of the incredible catering you produce. How did Dinner Ladies first begin?
Thank you! Dinner Ladies began with two girls, one dream and a massive love of food.
It’s a challenging time for the hospitality industry. What would a day in the life look like for you before Covid-19 vs today?
Totally different. It’s the unpredictability which is mad. Before Covid19 we had our weeks planned out for events months in advance, we knew how many people we were feeding and when. Now it’s totally up in the air, you can be feeding 100 or 5 in a day. The days during this period have been a lot tougher than before, but totally worth fighting for.
What has been the biggest surprise from the pandemic for your businesses?
The amazingly positive response from people supporting what we are doing has been a huge surprise and massive help. It feels amazing that so many people are backing us and speaking up to let us know they think we are doing a good job, it’s what keeps us going to be honest.
We’ve seen so many small businesses doing their bit to help out the local community and of course our heroes, key workers. What top suppliers have you seen helping out at the moment?
City Harvest are being absolute legends working so hard to feed London at the moment.
With a lot of anxiety around C19, what are your top tips for coping for those of us stuck at home?
What advice would you have for events planners and engaged couples in the early stages of planning their sustainable wedding or event? (In the context of Coronavirus)
Thank you to Dinner Ladies for their increible help feeding our key workers during the pandemic. Want to get in touch with them for your upcoming wedding or event? Take a look at their listing page here and get in touch.
